Vernon’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". My earliest memories are of my Uncle Wayne and the New Jersey crew traveling to WV to visit my family. One of my best memories as a young adult was traveling to NJ and Butch and Tip taking me to the Meadowlands to experience racing. What a great memory for this WV girl. Thank you for being a part of my childhood.

Butch delivered milk to our house with his brother Bob when he worked for Vin Reilly. He also taught me how to set up the Kiddieland rides at Bertrand Island at the beginning of the season. He was a funny guy with a dry sense of humor and even funnier with his brother Bobby. I thought of them as the tag teem duo.
