We are so sorry to hear about Liz’s passing. We grew up amongst the Evers family and so many others whose parents hailed from Drumlish and other places in Ireland. While we did not see Liz often over the years, it is no surprise to learn that she was such a dedicated mother, wife and volunteer to her community -- a true testament to her character and entire family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Liz was such a vibrant person who always put her family first. I remember her telling me about all the wonderful things you had shared together. I also remember the funny story about how many vacuum cleaners she had bought over the years! She would say that she loved to vacuum! I also remember the fun times we had when she worked for the school and then on the school board. She was always willing to listen and vote in the town's and school's best interest. I am so sorry at hearing this sad news, I had been praying for Liz, and truly believed she could beat anything, because of her tenacity and courageous attitude. I had the privilege of serving with her on the Roxbury Board of Education, and loved working with her. She was a wonderful board member, dedicated, always there for us, and she was greatly loved by her fellow Roxbury board members. We always had such fun at the Convention, too, I will remember those times fondly.
Liz was so brave, and I greatly admire her, and how she handled her courageous battle over the years. I saw on Facebook, how she lived an active life, travelling and enjoying her beautiful family. She is truly an inspiration to anyone who faces this horrible disease.
I want to express my most sincere condolences to her husband and to her children, this is a very great loss, and words are simply not adequate. You had a wonderful wife and mother, who was loved by many people, I hope you can take comfort in that. I will always remember Liz, as a fun-loving, happy, active and beautiful soul.

My friend.... I can still remember our days back in 1982/83 when we entered Grace Institute. The year we spent there, the laughs and then we moved on and got jobs together at the same accounting firm. Priceless memories that I always cherished. Although we didn't see one another often, anytime we spoke it was like no time had passed. I thought of you often, prayed for you and hoped that someday you would beat this god awful C beast. You put new meaning into IRISH STRONG. I am going to try and make your services however if I am unable to know I thinking of you and your beautiful irish eyes/smile.
