Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" D'Abbraccio

Elizabeth "Liz" D'Abbraccio of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 54 years old. Liz was born on March 18, 1964 in the Bronx, New York to Margaret (Byrne) and to the late James Willie Evers. Liz was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of the Mt. Arlington Board of Education and where she also served President and liaison with the Roxbury Board of Education. She was an active parishioner of St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna and was a longtime resident of Mt. Arlington. Liz enjoyed socializing, entertaining and cooking but most importantly, she loved and cherished her time with her family. Liz is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Dennis, her children; Jessica McGunnigle, Danielle Werner, Dennis D'Abbraccio and Allison D'Abbraccio. Additional survivors include her mother, Margaret Evers, her sisters; Margaret Marron, Eileen Patton and Maureen Willox, her brother, Brendan Evers and so many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her father, James Willie Evers in 2011. Liz's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, February 27th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, February 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, March 1st at 9:30 am at St. Therese RC Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ. Liz will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover immediately following the funeral mass. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
