Rich and I grew up together in Brooklyn. We went to Erasmus together and he got me a part time job at Waldbaums Super Market. Four registers constituted Super back in those days. My dad got Rich his first full time job at Western Union Int'l. When we were teens we decided to combine our model train sets and make one big lay out in his basement. It took most of the winter and came out great. Some years back I tracked Rich down through Billy Weiss's son and we met in Westchester for lunch. We laughed the way old friends do who shared a lot and were taking a walk down memory lane. He was great.
