To Joe's Family,
It's been a few days since the funeral but I wanted you to know you are all in my prayers. Joe was a great guy, everyone knew him that way and enjoyed being around him. Thank you for the privilege of speaking at his wake service. I hope it was not too long or too short. I wanted to respect Cathy's request to keep it simple and short, so I hope everything was okay. Mary Ann and the military color guard did a great job. Very moving.
Blessings always to all of Joe's loved ones, especially Loriana and Marie Elaina. And again, thank you.

The world has lost a really special man, but I'm so glad he's not suffering anymore. We were all lucky to know him. He always made me laugh. I will miss his presence on the earth. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Chris, MaryAnn and the rest of the Takacs family:
Growing up as kids in the Hopatcong Hills area, I met Joe at a young age - he was part of our "group". After I moved to Florida 40 years ago we lost touch, except for reunions and special parties in NJ, but I'll always have fond memories of Joe being my friend and a good person.

Dear Loriana and Family,
Words cannot describe how sorry I am for your loss. Your Dad was an amazing person and I will never forget the many times I came over your house to see him either on the lawn mower or hanging out at the shop. I'll also never forget the many times we asked him to drive us to the train station! He was so knowledgeable about things and was also very funny and easy-going.
