I have long-ago lovely memories of visiting the Pruddens at Lake Hopatcong when I was a little girl, before my family had a Lake house. The mahogany boat, the E scow, the wonderful smells of a Lake house—these are my first Lake memories. There are so many tie-ins between our families. The Pruddens provided a welcome to my dad when he so needed it—and an introduction to the Lake that became his favorite place. They also introduced my parents to each other. Peter Prudden was the best man at their wedding. And it goes on and on. I am sorry to hear that Peggy died, but she gave life a good long ride. Please know that I and all my brothers and sisters remember her well, and she lives on in our memories.
