Obituary of Shirley C. Bittner

Shirley C. Bittner passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at the Warren Haven Care Center in Oxford. She was 96. Born in Roxbury on April 1, 1925 to the late Charles Canfield and the late Clara (Wilson) Canfield, Shirley was a caregiver and grocery store clerk with Foodfare in Dover. A member of the Ledgewood Baptist Church, Shirley enjoyed bingo and being a part of the Warren Haven Care Center activities. Beloved wife of the late Richard Bittner. Dear aunt to Tippy Safreed of Mt. Arlington NJ, Cathy Jos of Wilmington OH and John Stocker of Long Valley NJ. Also survived by numerous step nieces and step nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Shirley’s Life Celebration on Thursday May 20, 2021 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will begin at 7:30PM. Shirley will be laid to rest with Committal Prayers with her late husband Richard on Wednesday May 26 at 9:00AM in the Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive.
