Obituary of Danny Fisher

Danny Fisher, 73, of Hopatcong, passed away on Monday October 11, 2021 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus. Born in Johnstown, PA, Danny was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1969. He worked in the accounting and Procurement departments of Ebasco/Tetra Tech for more than 40 years prior to retiring in 2011. Danny spent most of his time with his best buddy, his St. Bernard, Rufus. He loved his classic cars, going to car shows, riding his Harley motorcycle, going to breakfast with his buddies, spending time with his family, friends and going out to dinner with his wife, Lois. He absolutely loved being Santa Claus at Christmas and seeing the joy on all of the children's faces. He was famously known as Santa Dan or Papa Dan. He was very proud of being a Marine. "Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi". He was a lifetime member of the VFW and also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cromwell, CT and was an Ordained Minister. Survivors include his wife Lois, children Tanya Hall (Hayden), Tasha Dora (Jason) and Travis Fisher (Ximena), grandchildren Olivia and Christopher Hall, Kayla, Madison and Jacob Dora and Cathy, Brian and Travis Fisher and a brother Rick Fisher. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Danny's Life Celebration will include visiting on Saturday October 16 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Military honors will be offered at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. The remainder of services are private.
