Obituary of Gerald Robert Tacinelli

Gerald Robert Tacinelli of Byram passed away Saturday October 16 at home. He was 78. Born in Bronx NY, he lived in Westchester, NY, moved to Maryland, and then lived in Stanhope and Randolph NJ before moving to Byram. After decades in retailing, ending his career as a senior vice president, Gerald became a realtor with ReMax in Mt. Arlington. A Marine Corps. Veteran, Gerald was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna, a member of Izaak Walton League of America and Shongum Sportsman Association. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, country music concerts, restaurants and traveling (last trip prior to the pandemic was a trip to the Netherlands as well as a family trip to Norway). Beloved husband of Carol (Imperato) Tacinelli (55 years). Devoted father of Robert (Julie) Tacinelli, Jennifer Fall (Yahaya) and Christopher Tacinelli (Courtney). Loving grandfather of Jake, Samantha, Ryan and Noah. Dear brother of Dan, Gary and the late Ronald Tacinelli. Also predeceased by son-in-law, Sheik Fall. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Gerald's Life Celebration on Wednesday October 20 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00PM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 427 Stanhope Road, Sparta, NJ. Following mass, Gerald will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project (www.woundedwarriorsproject.org) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
