I was just thinking about Josie and was checking the web for info. My father and Frank (Josie's husband) worked together and I spent many summers at Lake Hopatcong. Josie was so full of life and always busy ! She was a great lady and I only have fond memories of her. She is now with God and all those who passed before her. Eternal rest to you dear Josie.

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a very special lady. I always will remember her working for my Mom at the luncheonette in Landing. She kept us laughing all the time. Our family's thoughts are with you and yours.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Josie during Hurricane Sandy. I was one of the many emergency response members working at the high school where Josie stayed while the power was out. She was a sweet, kind and appreciative lady who won over not only my heart, but just about everyone who came in contact with her. Your strength and positive attitude were a true inspiration to me. Sleep peacefully.

Nana was a wonderful grandma and great-grandma to my children. She was always there with a word of encouragement during hard times. She had certainly lived through a few herself over 99 years! Every holiday and birthday brought a card and/or letter from Nana without fail. For many years we looked forward to the boxes of mysterious items that would unfailingly arrive, something about a "tricky tray." :-) Of course, Avon was a favorite gift item, too. We always got a chuckle over Nana's boxes. One included three back scrubbers and two windshield scrapers. Especially when the kids were little, they loved nothing more than getting a "Nana box" in the mail. Many visits over the years have given us some wonderful memories. We will deeply miss our dear Nana. Love, Lisa, Carl, Jacob and Kasey Greene

Josie was my CCD teacher at Saint Judes back in 1979. She was my Nana's best friend and loved by so many. I will miss her but I know she is rejoicing in heaven with her loved ones and her Savior!

Josie was a great neighbor who always looked out for everyone, she was truly a grandmother to all. She had a heart of gold and lit up when the neighborhood kids were outside playing. We will miss your kindness and your gentle smile. Rest in peace Josie.
