Obituary of Josephine Hartmann

Josephine Hartmann, of Hopatcong, passed away on Wednesday January 30 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was 99. Born in Hoboken on January 2, 1914 to the late Nicola and Angelina Senise, Josephine resided in West New York prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1953. She worked as a mail delivery person for the United States Postal Service in Landing. Josephine was a parishioner of St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong where she was a member of their Rosary & Altar Society which was formerly known as the Ladies' Guild of which Josephine was past president. She was also a member of the Hopatcong Senior Citizens and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and cake decorating. Devoted wife of the late Frank, loving mother of Ronald and Edward, She was the last of eight sisters and a brother, adoring grandmother of two, cherished great grandmother of two and beloved aunt of Margaret Kenter and many more nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
