I've been a lifelong friend and just want to say that when I think of Brenda I think of "a life well lived". She loved life, made the most of every day, and loved "making memories". I was fortunate enough to have shared some of those memories with her. She had very strong values, liked things simple and honest and "the little things" made her happy.
She was unstoppable, whether it was working 3 jobs as a single mom to provide for Justin and Jordan, working long hours in the market (which she loved) or putting up a brave and dignified fight against cancer.
She loved the Lake and Aspen, but what really mattered were her family and her friends. I think that anyone lucky enough to call her a friend will always keep a part of Brenda with them. She lived for her family, her children, and her grandchildren. I know that she'll always be a part of and lives on in Justin and Jordan and her grandchildren. You'll always be with us Brend.

We will miss you terribly as will Emily and Jamie. You were an amazing part of our little lagoon community. I am forever grateful for the many things you did for us and especially guiding me on how to host large gatherings. You really were one of a kind Brenda.
Oh and the chance meetings at Mt. AIry, you walking in at 6 am as mom and I getting ready to leave. I raise my little glass of wine to you and will always think of you with a smile Brenda.

I have known Brenda for 52 years and she has always been a dear friend as we shared our love for Lake Hopatcong. She handled cancer like she handled life’s challenges with courage, dignity and a positive attitude. Her spirit will live on through the two children that she cherished and raised to be thoughtful and thriving young adults. God bless you Jordan and Justin!
Love, Doreen
