A few weekends ago I got together with some Riverdell friends of mine and I was told Gregg had passed away. I was shocked. Greg was a good friend of mine. We used to cut School and go fishing in the Hackensack River lol I wish I kept in touch. My condolences to his friends and family. He was a great guy

To Greg’s family,
So sorry for your loss.
Vondo was my first best friend. I have lots of fond memories of the two of us sneaking into the Oradell reservoir and Echo Lake for the best fishing around. I even remember seeing Franco Harris’ “Immaculate Reception” in his living room on Jefferson Ave.

I met Greg when he we were 7 years old at Saint Peter the Apostle School and we have been friends and fishing buddies ever since.
The Jersey Shore, the Delaware River, the Catskills, Adirondacks, lake Ontario, Montauk and beyond.
What an amazing person and friend; rest in peace Greg Vo !

I Grew up next door to Greg and his Brothers. I moved next door when I was 6 and Greg was 2ish . I loved playing with him as I didn't have younger siblings and I asked his mom if I could have him!!! She told me if I could find a "wooden nickle" she would let him live with us!! I can't tell you how hard I dug in the dirt all the time to find one! I must have knocked on her door so often thinking I had found one but she always told me that it wasn't the right one!! LOL
Funny what you remember about your childhood and that memory is still very fresh.
I had heard Greg was in a lot of pain and grateful he's now at peace in heaven with his parents and nephew. May the memories keep smiles on your faces during this difficult time.

My name is Veronica,,Im Oliver's sister. I helped as care givers for VO during the past two months. I was present with him when he took his last breath. I know he was suffering and so glad now he is in peace and no more pain.
