Obituary of James Lucignano

James Lucignano of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5. 2024 at Fallsview Rehab and Care Center in Boonton, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old. James was born on April 5, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Raffaelle and the late Anna (Borrino) Lucignano. James was employed as a Internal Revenue Service Advisor for many years before retiring. Mr. Lucignano graduated Fordham University with a BA in business. James was an avid sports fan but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his cherished grandchildren. James was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rosary Society. James was a longtime resident of Brooklyn, NY and Canton, CT. before moving to the Landing Section of Roxbury Twp., NJ seven years ago. James is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Elaine (Hauer) and his devoted children, Thomas Lucignano, James Lucignano, his wife, Jodi and Erica Furgal, her husband, Tom. He will be greatly missed by his cherished grandchildren; Sofia, Ellie, Anna, James and Grace and too many dear family and friends to mention. James's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, February 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 8th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church. 8 Windemere Avenue, Mt. Arlington, NJ. James will be entombed at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover, NJ immediately following the funeral mass. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home.
