Obituary of Michael J. Gariola

Michael J. Gariola of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp., NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old. Michael was born on June 22, 1958 in the Bronx, NY to the late Frank and the late Jean (Capretta) Gariola.

Michael was a long-time resident of Landing, NJ. He received his associates degree from Nassau Community College and his bachelor's degree in business in 2006 from Centenary College. Mr. Gariola was an award-winning salesman most of his career working for both Staples Corporate Sales and Western Pest Services for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music, and visiting museums and art galleries but most importantly, Michael loved spending quality time with his loving family and many dear friends.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Patricia "Trish" Gariola (nee Mulcair), his loving children, Michelle Begazo, Allison Melendez (husband, Mikael), Nicholas Kreutzer (wife, Gabrielle) and Julianne Eike (husband, Tyler). Additional survivors include his cherished granddaughter, Amelia Begazo and his siblings, Doreen Gariola and Mary Hertle (husband, Ken), cousin Jeanmarie Fucci, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his brother, John Gariola in 2022.

Michael's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Friday, April 19th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 7:30 pm Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
