Obituary of Joseph D. Vicari

Joseph D. Vicari, Sr. of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Sunday, April 19th at Care One in Livingston, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 75. Joe was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Salvatore and the late Margaret (Sterlacci ) Vicari. He was an Accountant at Tokio Marine Management Company in New York City for many years before retiring. He lived in Jersey City for 64 years before moving to Hopatcong 10 years ago. While living in Jersey City, he coached little league baseball for 14 years. Joe was a New York Giants Fan, an avid gardener and coin collector. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Arlene (Lutz ), his daughters; Cheryl Indeck and her husband, Andrew and Lisa Vicari and his son, Joseph, Jr. and his wife, Susan. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren; Rebecca, Ralph, Joey III, Alissa, Melissa and Matthew and his brother, Salvatore. Joe's Life Celebration will include visitation on Tuesday, April 21st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ . There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, April 22nd at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong, NJ. Joseph will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
