Obituary of Margaret Walsh

Margaret "Margie" Walsh, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 65. Born in Dover, NJ to the late Louis E. DeMarino and the late Dorothy "Dot" Kasweck DeMarino. She grew up in Port Morris and has resided in Kenvil for the past 39 years. She graduated Ryder College in 1971. Margie was an elementary school teacher in Roxbury Township at the Kennedy School for 39 years before retirement. She was an active parishioner of St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna. She enjoyed family time together above and foremost and cherished the time spent with her beautiful granddaughters. She enjoyed trips to Giants Stadium, loved to travel and was an animal lover. Margie is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Thomas, her devoted sons, TJ Walsh and his wife, Jessica and Chris Walsh. Additional survivors include; her sisters, Marylou Kessel and her husband, Al and Dottie O'Donnell and her husband, Tommy, her brother, Louie DeMarino, her cherished grandchildren, Melanie and Miranda, her brother-in-law, Jerry Walsh and his wife, Carol, her dear best friend, Nancy Sekella and several nieces and nephews. Margie's Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday, January 28th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 29th beginning at 10:00 am at St. Therese Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna. Margie will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery immediately following Mass.
