Obituary of Erin M. Hanna

Erin M. Hanna of Stanhope, NJ passed away on Wednesday, May 13th at home surrounded by her loving family. Erin, 53, was best known as a dignified, fun-loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born December 7, 1961 in Teaneck, NJ to the late John McMahon and to Sylvia (Sulzinski) Cappello. She lived in Edgewater and Hopatcong before moving to Stanhope 22 years ago. Erin was an Antiques Dealer who most recently owned and operated Grey Barn Antiques in Andover. In addition, she also operated a successful eBay business and was considered a treasure hunter extraordinaire. Erin enjoyed antiquing, hiking, kayaking, traveling, playing the slot machines and caring for wildlife. But most importantly, Erin loved playing with her grandchildren. Erin is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, David E. and her daughter, Valerie and her son, David J. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren, Tripp and Issac and her sisters, Eileen and Jamie and her brothers, Sean and Glenn. Erin's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Monday, May 18th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a memorial service held at 7:30 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
