Obituary of Nicholas G. Marchitto

Nicholas G. Marchitto passed away Sunday October 16 at Hackensack University Medical Center. He was 58. Devoted husband of Georgette (Wilkie), loving father of Nicholas and Gina Marie and dearest brother of Joyce Swartz and Rosemarie Iannuzzi. Survivors also include a very large extended family of 2 aunts and many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Paterson to the late Nicholas & Emma, Nicholas resided there prior to moving to Hopatcong 23 years ago. He earned his bachelor's degree in music from William Paterson College in Wayne with a secondary degree in computer science. He worked for the US Postal Service in Ridgewood and also taught piano. He traveled as a professional musician for several years. Nicholas had a great love for music, was an avid coin collector and a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
