Stanley,
You were a wonderful brother-in-law to me always. I always enjoyed your company and will always remember you as George C. Scott.
You will be extremely missed. A wonderful mentor to all. Always dignified thru everything.

We have all heard many times that nobody really dies if they live on in the hearts of others. It is now that we must remember these words. I have many great memories of my uncle Stan. Many of the stories he told me over the years about different parts of the world he visited and the restaurants he ate at while there, were a huge influence in me becoming a chef. His passion for good food, was a great inspiration. So a part of Stanley Kaner will always live on in me. My only regret is that I never got to make Beef Wellington for him.

Stan/Dad....there wasn't a moment that you did not have time to listen, understand, advise and show us your love. You gave us a life that we thought we would never have. You were the pillar of my success and there to cast the net for my falls. You were a proud and strong man "Mr. Kaner" until the very end. Thank you for coming into my life, for giving my mother a second chance and my girls a true Grandpa... Our lives were forever changed with you in it and will not be the same without you. You were our greatest fan. Know now that we were yours. We love you and will never forget you.

We met Stan many times at Diana's family gatherings in her home. I always enjoyed our conversations, he always had a great story to tell. I found him to be a wise man, whose advise I always found to be righ on point. He was a kind, giving man, and we will miss him.

You were a dignified man of wisdom and wit.
You were a husband who loved my mother through thick and thin.
You were a brother-in-law that listened.
You were a Father-in-law that became a friend.
You were a son-in-law that gave my grandmother peace of mind.
You were a grandfather that loved and adored his grandchildren and always had a smile for them.
You were full of opinions, advice and arguments, you were human.
You were my father, not of birth. You became the father that I always wanted. Even though I fought the idea. I am sorry I never called you Dad, but you were. You were my listener, my supporter, my reason for getting angry and my reason for laughing. When noone believed in me you always did even if you didn't agree. You were my listener and my button pusher. You said you weren't the best father...but you were to me and I will miss you terribly. I am your daughter and you always made me feel your love. Thank you for surviving my teen years, bad attitude and sticking around to help me become the woman that I am. I Love You.
You were here and won't ever be forgotten.
