Obituary of William E. Gunn

William E. "Bill" Gunn of Hopatcong died suddenly Thursday May 20, 2010 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. He was 61. Born in Dover, he lived in Hopatcong for 33 years. He was a general manager for 46 years with American Vending/American Vending and Coffee Service (a third generation owned company) in Mt. Freedom and was considered "one of the family". He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Flanders and Noah's Ark Animal Shelter in Ledgewood and was a former member of Hopatcong Fire Co. #3, Ironia Fire Co. (Randolph Chemical Engine Co. #4), the Hopatcong Jaycees and the Hopatcong Little League. Beloved husband of Barbara J. (nee: Phelps). Devoted father of Jennifer of Geneva NY. Dear brother of James, George, Harry and John O'Brien, Agnes Howell and the late Frances Smith. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his cherished dog, Shasta.
