Obituary of Thomas E. Sehrt

Thomas E. Sehrt, 56 SANDYSTON TWP: Thomas E Sehrt, 56, died September 10, 2009 as a result of a stroke. He was Born July 26th, 1953 in Fort Knox, KY, and was raised in St. Louis MO, then settled in Sandyston Township NJ with his loving wife, Lorraine Sehrt (Majewski) of 31 years. Tom was a graduate of Morristown High School and attended Michigan Tech and had a passion for science and architecture. He made his professional life as a heavy equipment operator working in both family run businesses and most recently with the Semeraro Construction Co. since 1992. As an independent business owner through Teamworks International, Tom was a life long learner and enjoyed meeting and collaborating with other professionals in his various fields of interest. He was known for his quick wit and jovial sense of humor. Tom enjoyed, reading, auto sports, helping others and he touched many lives with his generosity. Tom was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the Sandyston Educational Foundation, both in Sandyston Twp., NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine; Loving Parents, Patricia and Eugene Sehrt of Edgewater, MD; Dear Brother of Gary and Greg also of Edgewater MD, and Brian and his wife Faith of Livonia,MI. Devoted father of Monica Laufenberg and her husband Jay of Denville NJ. Cherished grandfather of Ryan and Kate Laufenberg of Denville. Also survived by 6 Brother-in-laws, 6 Sister-in-laws and 50 Nieces and Nephews.
