Thinking back when I was a child. I realized the many things my mother taught me that I took for granted. She taught me patience and love. She also gave me security. She had patience when I wanted to play beauty parlor and she was my client. (NO SCISSORS!) I remember waking up early to help her make stuffing on Thanksgiving morning or helping peel potatoes and carrots on a chair in front of the sink, for our Sunday roast beef dinner. Or when she taught me to make lasagne, or her famous potato salad. She did that with patience and love. I will never forget the birthday parties with many little girls. We played games, made crafts, had ice cream, cake and goodies. Mom and Dad made Christmas special. She taught me the love of animals. I will never forget when I was four, she walked into the house with a puppy under her coat. It was Tippy, my new little pal. Most of all, I will always remember being tucked in at night. With a hug and a kiss. I felt safe and secure. I will always love you and miss you until we see each other again. But you will always be in my heart. Love Liz
