Obituary of Scott Mayer

Scott Mayer of Hopatcong died Sunday April 19, 2009 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 41. Born in Saddle Brook, he lived in Byram and Denville before moving to Hopatcong 14 years ago. A manager with Novartis Pharmaceutical in East Hanover, he was also a volunteer and coach for Hopatcong Youth Sports including baseball, soccer and basketball. He earned his bachelors degree from St. Peter's College in Jersey City. He was an avid New York Mets fan. GO METS! Beloved husband of Colleen (nee: Reilly). Devoted father of Jake and Jenna. Cherished son of James and Sally Mayer. Dear brother of Christopher and James J. Mayer Jr.. Loved grandson of Chester Baker. Dearest uncle of Tammy and Heather. Beloved godfather and uncle of Max, Lia and Jonathan. Also survived by many aunts and uncles.
