Obituary of Melvin H. Applegit

Melvin H. Applegit Jr. of Roxbury Twp. died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. He was 64 years old. Born in Dover, he lived in Kenvil before moving to the Landing section of Roxbury Twp. 40 years ago. He retired from his job as a Senior Layout Technician for Jersey Central Power & Light Co. in Newton after 40 years of service. Melvin was a dedicated family man. He enjoyed taking care of his home and also loved fishing. Loving husband of 41 years of Lucille (nee:Staschak). Devoted father of Mark and his wife Michele of Hackettstown. Adoring grandfather of Matthew and Megan. Beloved son of Melvin H. Applegit Sr. and Ida (nee:O'Dell) of Kenvil. Cherished brother of Jill Gillett and her husband Dale of Budd Lake. Dear uncle of Douglas, Jamie and Melissa. He is also survived by his Golden Retriever Katie.
