My condolences to Tom's family and friends. He left behind a beautiful legacy and cherished memories.
We all grew to love Tom (TJBass or BassMaster) on our annual fishing trip to Canada. It doesn't matter how many times you met him, it felt like you just saw him yesterday. His laugh and comradery touched all of our hearts and spirit. TJ Bass never won the Bass pool in all the years going up to Canada; an even greater accomplishment and testament to his bass fishing prowess when you consider he accompanied us to Canada for 20 years.
In his last full trip, TJBass fished with Mr. (Frank) Karpinski. As legend has it, The Bassmaster was "fitchen" with a yellow Mr. Twister in the depths of the upper lake (Newboro) when a huge fish nailed his line. The man known to us as BassMasta' for 20 yrs had finally won......the Pike pool. Only TJBass could pull that one off and he did it with a laugh. A picture of his fish hangs on the wall of fame at the Stirling Lodge in Newboro, ON (and on their website).
God Bless you Tom Jennings. May you finally rest in peace. The Canada Fishing Crew will miss you!
