Obituary of Thomas R. Jennings
Thomas R. Jennings died Monday August 20, 2007 at his home in the Landing section of Roxbury Township. He was 75 years old.
Born in Jersey City to the late Edward J and Helen (Mailly) Jennings, Mr. Jennings resided there prior to moving to Landing 46 years ago.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951-1954 and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with three stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Mr. Jennings was an avid outdoorsman. He was employed as a machinist for Colgate Palmolive in Jersey City for 34 years before retiring in March of 1984.
Loving husband of Jane (nee: Keller). Beloved father of Barbara Brophy and her husband James of Centennial, CO, Carol Jennings at home, Jane Jennings of Boonton, Catherine Garrison of Byram Twp. and Edward Jennings and his wife Elizabeth of Hamden, CT. Cherished grandfather of Crystal, Travis, William and Amanda. Beloved father-in-law of the late William Garrison. Dear brother of Edward Jennings of Landing, Maurice Dalton of Toms River and the late Catherine Smith.
