Obituary of Patricia Darcy-Jones
Patricia Darcy-Jones died Saturday June 16 at her home in Hopatcong. She was 54 years old.
Born in Orange, Patricia resided in New York City and Los Angeles prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1992. She was a graduate of West Orange Mountain High School, Class of 1970. She was currently employed as a hair stylist at Pro Haircutters in Rockaway. Patricia was a backup singer for Cher for 18 years, performed on Broadway in "Smokey Joe's Café" for five years, which she left to join Cher on her farewell tour. Patricia also performed as a backup singer for Darlene Love and Bette Midler.
Loving wife of Courtney. Beloved daughter of Helen Darcy of West Orange and the late Eugene Darcy Sr. Dearest sister of Eugene Darcy Jr. and his wife, Judith of Landing, Kenneth Darcy and his wife Kelli of Edison and Kim Kirsch and her husband, David of Edison. Adoring niece of Grace Villas and Gloria Brooks and her husband, Patrick. Cherished aunt and cousin of many. Services are being conducted privately. The family plans to schedule a public memorial service at a later date.
