My name is Gina and I am Nancy & Sonny’s grandson
(#5) Anthony Perretti’s ex. Nancy had found our phone number and called Anthony but he was working so I spoke to her and she asked if we would come up and see them, because it had been 33 years (at the time) since they’ve seen Anthony so I said let’s go see them, and we did. I was 6 months pregnant at the time. I have a picture of Anthony, me, and our daughter sitting on their sofa when Gia was 3 months old. I would speak to Gia about her great grandparents so she knew who they were. We lived pretty far away so we could not go all the time to see them. I still wanted her to know them because their blood runs through her viens and that’s her family. Years later she (their great granddaughter Gia Perretti) was asking if we could go see them, so I called my mother in law Julie to see if she wanted to go and she did. I misplaced Nancy’s number so I went on Google to get the phone number and I was saddened to see this obituary. Anthony and I went to their home in Hopatcong for dinner with Gia when she was 3 months old, and I feel blessed they got to see her and enjoy her for the few hours we were there. What a wonderful cook Nancy was. I just wanted to give the family my sincere condolences. They were both great people. Very welcoming to all of us. Anthony and were only there twice. The one time when I was 6 months pregnant and then of course when our daughter Gia was 3 months old so she could meet her great grandparents. Again I am so sorry for your loss. Nancy and Sonny will be missed. Although Gia doesn’t remember them because she was only 3 months old, I do keep their memory alive by talking to her about them. I didn’t know them too well so my mother in law Julie tells her all good things about them. God be with you all.
