Obituary of Nancy & Angelo Perretti

Nancy Perretti passed away on Tuesday April 23 and her husband of 71 years, Angelo "Sonny" Perretti passed away just a day later on April 24. Nancy was 87 and Sonny was 89. Nancy was born in Brooklyn on February 13, 1926 and Sonny on April 28, 1923 in Greenpoint, NY. They have resided in Hopatcong for more than 50 years. They were parishioners of St. Jude Church, Hopatcong. Nancy enjoyed participating in many fund raising activities. Sonny retired a longshoreman after 51 years of service. He was a supervisor at the time of his retirement and was nicknamed "ILA Charlie". Both Nancy and Sonny were dedicated to their families. They will be sorely missed by friends and family, especially their adoring grandchildren. Survivors include their daughter Annette Kwasnaza and husband, Thomas and late son Angelo Perretti, Jr., four grandchildren, Kristi Caravella, Stefani Baker, Scott Caravella and Michael Perretti and 5 great grandchildren Nicholas, Joseph and Juliette Perretti and Colin and Connor Caravella. They are also survived by their loving dog, Pee Wee. Sonny was one of eight children, of which his sister Louisa Perretti is the last survivor.
